What not to expect:


A quiet neighborhood with little street congestion.


Sanchaung is known for its busy atmosphere and heavy foot traffic. Vendors pack the streets, making it very congested during the daytime.


But some areas are not as densely populated. Sanchaung has many side streets that lead to quieter blocks.


The rental market:


Primarily walk-up buildings, but a few condo buildings have popped up in recent years.


The majority of Sanchaung's apartments are walk-ups. However, newer and larger spaces can be found in condos.
